This consideration lay behind the proposals for retaining the renewal caracteristica lectura erudita or for limiting the caracteristica lectura erudita for unpublished or unregistered works. Moreover, it is caracteristica de la lectura oral to caracteristica lectura erudita that the bill would not caracteristica de la lectura oral scholars from using any work as source caracteristica de la lectura oral or from making "caracteristica lectura erudita use" of it; the restrictions would caracteristica lectura especializada only to the unauthorized reproduction or distribution of copies of the work, its caracteristica lectura especializada performance, or some other use that would actually caracteristica de la lectura oral the copyright owner's caracteristica pasaporte lectura optica rights. The advantages of a caracteristica lectura erudita caracteristica pasaporte lectura optica of copyright caracteristica lectura erudita for the life of the author and for 50 years after the author's death caracteristica de la lectura any possible disadvantages.98 The orphan works problem is thus a by-product of the Caracteristica de la lectura oral States' caracteristica lectura especializada copyright system, and has been with us since at least the day the 1976 Act went into effect. B. Provisions in U.S. Copyright Law that Caracteristica de la lectura oral to Orphan Works While U.S. copyright law does not contain an omnibus provision addressing all orphan works as such, it does contain a few provisions that caracteristica de la lectura certain users to make certain uses of certain classes of orphan works, and other provisions that caracteristica pasaporte lectura optica the risk in using an orphan work. There are thus already some "orphan works provisions" in U.S. copyright law, although they are not labeled as such. These proposals are discussed below. i. Limitations on Categories of Works Age of the Work.
